Nivis Expands in Response to Market Demand (06/19/08)
Nivis, the world’s leading developer and integrator of wireless network technologies, has opened a fifth corporate office. The Columbus, Ohio office joins Nivis’ home office in Atlanta, GA, as well as satellite offices in Chattanooga, TN, Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
The most recent Nivis expansion came in response to increased customer demand for Nivis engineered products. “The remarkable team we’ve assembled in Ohio is uniquely capable of taking the breakthrough research and development Nivis has become renown for and making a significant leap forward in the arena of integration into customer applications,” Nick Ashworth, Senior Engineering Director in charge of the Ohio office explains. “Nivis has been providing that all along, but the increased demand necessitated a larger response team. We are that team.”
The Nivis Columbus, Ohio office is ideally situated in the backyard of two major Nivis clients: Acuity and BPL Global. In addition, YSI is only 70 miles away in Dayton. Nivis has worked with all three companies in major ways and is ideally located to enhance those valued relationships over the long term.

Nivis has launched the world’s first pre-release ISA100.11a Evaluation Kit at the Sensors & Expo Conference (06/12/08)
The breakthrough technology was demonstrated by Nivis at the Sensors Expo & Conference held June 9 – 11th, 2008 outside Chicago at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
Technically known as the NISA100.11a Evaluation Kit, it is unique in the industry. No one other than Nivis has engineered and created an Evaluation Kit that allows users to assess a full ISA100.11a pre-compliant system. Nivis demonstrates how the NISA100.11a wireless network ties together devices from different vendors in a data acquisition and control ecosystem.
“Nivis has the only ISA100.11a based working system as well as a suite of evaluation tools that allow assessment of an ISA100.11a pre-compliant network,” explains Keith Sciulli, Nivis Executive Director of Business Development. “If a company aims for ISA100.11a compatibility, then this is the answer. There is high demand for this and we’re proud to meet that demand with an outstanding product.”

Retail Customer Experience magazine recognizes Nivis’
‘Remarkable’ e-Signage solution presented at NRF 2008 (02/04/08)
As reported in the article "NRF 08: emphasis on ‘green’ " in the January 22, 2008 online issue of Retail Customer Experience, "At the Fujitsu pavilion, a truly remarkable technology was on display, and the very thing that makes it so remarkable also made it inherently easy to overlook. Partner company Nivis demonstrated its electronic-ink-based signs, small black-and-white price displays that truly look like paper signs. The technology comes from Bridgestone, and uses mesh networking to disseminate information from one sign to another.
Here’s the remarkable bit: these signs are "stateless", meaning that once they display an image, they no longer require power to maintain that image. The result is a scalable network of digital pricing displays, all remotely managed, with a battery life of about five years."
