Overview
The industrial monitoring and control arena is demanding wireless instruments that
are interoperable and interchangeable, regardless of manufacturer or implementation.
The ISA100.11a workgroup is tasked with standardizing a system solution that will
meet the requirements listed above.
Nivis answered this market need by building a pre-release compliant system in order
to validate the ISA100.11a architecture. The result of this development effort is
the Nivis ISA100.11a System, an implementation based on the ISA100.11a draft released
on December 21, 2007.
Nivis ISA100.11a System addresses wireless industrial applications by providing reliable
and secure operation for wireless instruments involved in:
• Non-critical monitoring
• Supervisory control
• Open loop control applications
• Closed loop control applications
